Sacred Heart School is a Way of Life

Sacred Heart is a wonderful school with a rich history of educating the children of Hudson in the Catholic faith. Our virtue based approach to student development ensures that each student is learning in a loving, disciplined environment where he/she can become the student God meant for them to be. We are happy to announce that our individualized instruction has yielded high academic achievement for our students. Winter testing for 2nd-6th grade students revealed 91% proficiency in math and 89% proficiency in reading. Our scores rank SHS in the top 30% of all schools in the country. The formula for achievement is excellent teachers, hard-working students and dedicated parents. While we are excited about our level of academic proficiency, our mission is loftier than that. Our mission is that our students are balanced: confident of mind, academics and Catholic faith. We desire for each student to find their own personal gifts and to be able to admire the gifts of others. By weaving the Catholic faith through the curriculum, students can witness God’s love and mercy in all parts of the day. We work to build through struggle and achieve success through hard work. In this, students learn to be confident and balanced.

Steps to Sainthood

Virtues are developed in children the same way academics are developed. Students learn to behave in a way that strengthens their soul and brings them closer to God. We build on each virtue from our preschool years through the lower grades, and into middle school. When our students graduate, they will be prepared to persevere. In order to learn to persevere, all of the little steps along the way have to be taken. At SHS, we believe that obedience, kindness, courtesy, self-control, respect, prayerfulness, and perseverance are as important to teach as any reading or math lesson.

Enrollment for the 2021-2022 school year began March 12th. Enrollment packets are available on the Sacred Heart website They are located on the home page under New Student Registration or by calling the school at 517-448-6405.

Tuition is Affordable

¨ 1 child (DK-6th grade) – $2500

¨ 2 children (DK-6th) – $4247

¨ 3 children (DK-6thgrade) – $5558

The cost to educate each child is much more than our tuition rate. Sacred Heart School receives charitable donations from seven parishes in our vicariate and private donors to keep our tuition rate low for our families. We are the lowest tuition rate in the Diocese of Lansing. We do not receive federal funding.

Spaces in DK through 4th grade are very limited.   If you are thinking about   Sacred Heart School, call 448-6405 for a tour.

God Bless,
