Principal Anne Atkin Bulletin, August 30, 2020

Dear Sacred Heart Families,

It is the beginning of the 2020-2021 school year and Sacred Heart School is ready for another great year! The teachers, staff and parents pay attention to every detail when preparing for the students to come to school. The week before school starts is always a very energetic time as we put the final touches on everything and begin to welcome our families back. Some kids are so excited, others are nervous, some would rather stay busy helping at home, but on Monday, we will all be together to grow and learn.

It is with the hope of each day that we open our hearts to God’s grace. Our children deserve to be respected and loved in all parts of the day. As a school community, we pray for God’s light to guide our thoughts and actions. It is so important that we put God first when teaching and mentoring children. This enables us to see each child as a unique and special gift to the world. Each child is so perfectly unique with strengths that are theirs alone. It is our job to inspire each child to live a life of purpose and to know that their worth comes from God.

The teachers at Sacred Heart know that they have been called to a vocation. They embrace this purpose and are able to teach with passion and love. It is this purpose that gives each of us the confidence to handle every day. There seems to be a peaceful calm about the start of the school year. It was easy to see and feel at our Open Houses this week. The families that attended are so wonderful and having the children back on the playground is nothing short of spectacular. We love Sacred Heart School and we will stay committed to serving our community and reflecting the unconditional love of Jesus with everything that we do.

Thank you all for your continued prayers!

God Bless,

Anne Atkin, principal
